Solution Remotely Surveys Employees for Symptoms, Early Intervention Prevents Spread of COVID-19 and Ensures Workforce Availability
Seattle, WA, May 6, 2020 – Audere, a digital health nonprofit developing software to improve global health, today announced its newest solution offering, HealthPulse™ Navigator, to support essential businesses and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Development of Navigator was funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Navigator is a cloud-based solution that helps first responders and essential workers track and report symptoms, communicate with employers about their health status, and access the information they need to get well. Navigator makes health data actionable, providing essential businesses with the insights they need to anticipate staffing challenges, support sick employees, and prevent workplace transmission.
Changing behaviors to save lives
Research indicates that as many as 9 out of every 10 workers report to work while experiencing flu-like symptoms. With every COVID-19 case infecting more than five people on average, new technology is urgently needed to instill new and more proactive approaches to preventing the spread of disease among essential workers. By enabling employees to remotely self-report symptoms, Navigator equips businesses with more accurate and comprehensive data about the health of their employees. With these insights, employers can take action sooner to keep sick employees at home and protect the resilience of the workforce providing food, medical services, and other essential needs for the public.

Technology to fuel change
Audere is translating its experience from conducting flu studies with self-swab kits to developing an at-home, self-swab COVID-19 test kit, which will be integrated with Navigator (available Q2 2020). Organizations will identify symptomatic staff via Navigator and flag individuals in need of a test kit. The flag will feed directly into Audere’s @home test kit distribution channels, streamlining workflows and ensuring test kit availability for the essential workforce. Additionally, Navigator’s intuitive dashboards will provide employers with clear recommendations for which employees should be isolated or quarantined, giving further visibility into when staff are ready to return to work.
Navigator’s HIPAA-compliant technology is implemented internationally for COVID-19 efforts: used domestically to protect first responders and in Bangladesh to monitor front-line workers. The solution is configurable to meet each organization’s needs, scaling from a handful of employees to thousands of staff.
