Product Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Product, AI Technologies, Innovation, and Strategy, the Product Manager will collaborate to bring innovative solutions to life leveraging AI, from ideation to launch and continuous monitoring. You will set goals, extend data creation and labeling frameworks, incept new efficient scalability investments, and drive feature delivery, and integration with scaled digital health solutions. Reaching people with care at the last mile requires innovative thinking, moving fast, rigorous prioritization, and deep partnership with a growing set of local partners across Africa and India. This role requires an understanding of various types of AI and digital solutions, experience leading digital solution development, collaboration skills, and experience collaborating and managing external partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and communicate a compelling vision for Audere’s products leveraging AI in partnership with the Director of AI, identify new opportunities, and influence broader company vision, strategy, and priorities.

  • Understand complex customer problems and define how they can be translated into solutions to meet individual needs, but also scale for broader applicability.

  • Define product strategy and plans (aligned to company priorities), generate roadmaps, and drive end-to-end execution for key AI features, processes, and partnerships.

  • Define & drive alignment on goals and measures of success for product features, lead the team to deliver, prioritize new requirements as they arise, and celebrate wins.

  • Own the relationship, definition, alignment, execution, and communication of status for projects with external partner organizations. 

  • Deeply understand and build empathy for users of Audere products, lead user and clinical research projects in partnership with design and external research partners.

  • Provide digestible, timely updates to stakeholders on progress against priorities, risks, and mitigation strategies.

  • Evaluate feasibility and viability of new technologies or pilot projects for use in low and middle income countries, and make recommendations on future investments.

  • Champion product quality, excellence in execution, and privacy and regulatory compliance.

  • Continuously assess opportunities for improvement by analyzing product performance in production, competitive offerings, user needs, and technological trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human-centered design and product thinking, computer science, related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in product management, particularly digital products leveraging AI/ML , with experience taking innovations from ideation through to launch.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make strategic, data-driven product decisions.

  • Possess a strong program management background, with experience leading projects, and a well-rounded technical background in aspects of software development such as web, mobile, and distributed systems.

  • Proactive self-starter with ability to operate in an ambiguous environment. 

  • Excellent project management, stakeholder communication, attention to detail, and presentation skills.

  • Experience analyzing quantitative data, deriving insights, and applying to product decisions.

  • Experience working with a distributed team with diverse ideas, backgrounds, and perspectives.

  • Willingness to learn and a desire to grow in a mission-driven start-up organization with global partnerships.

  • Experience with developing medical devices, diagnostics, public health tools, and/or health and wellness products for consumers/at-home use is a plus.

  • Bonus: familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Slack, Plotly, and Figma.
